Fair questions
How is Current different from other time-blocking apps?
Most planners keep your blocks exactly where you dropped them, so the plan is stale by mid-morning. Current treats the plan as a living thing. Start Day Now cascades your moveable tasks around fixed ones from the moment you actually begin, it warns you when a day genuinely doesn’t fit, and free gaps suggest backlog tasks that match the time available.
Is Current free?
Yes, free to download and use, with no account needed. A few power features unlock inside the app.
Do I need an account?
No. Current works fully in local-only mode and your data stays on your device. An account is only needed if you want to sync across multiple devices, and you can sign in with Apple, Google, or an email magic link.
Does Current work offline?
Completely. Planning, cascading, templates: everything works without a connection. Sync simply resumes when you’re back online, if you use an account at all.
Does it sync with my calendar?
Yes. Two-way sync with Apple Calendar, so your time blocks appear alongside existing events. Calendar data is processed on your device and never sent to our servers.
Which devices does it run on?
Current is built natively in Swift for iPhone and requires iOS 18 or later. Home Screen widgets are included.
